This is my
first mandala in 30 years. I painted it because Dharmaraj
kept on insisting that he thinks it is a good idea that I paint.
He saw the earlier silk paintings that I made and he liked
them very much. But I also think he liked the happiness and
contentment that I felt when painting.
This represents Australia - clear, strong colours of
the sun, the nature and the sea. Nature is so alive and bouyant,
full of energy. At the same time there is so much space everywhere.
We went to a place called Yallingup, and I fell immediately
in love with the nature there. My heart opened up, I felt so
happy.
Then I learned that this place is called 'Place of Love
near the Water' by the Aboriginals.
It is our special place of love in Australia, we keep
coming back there - it is a magic attraction.
